UNIT 1: GLOSSARY

Backish: not fashionable.

Rascal: a dishonest person.

Crutch: a staff or support to assist a person in walking.

Casualty: one who is injured or killed in an accident.

Posh: luxurious.

Schedule: timetable.

Slang: very informal words and idioms, normally not used in formal situations and sometimes containing vulgar or otherwise socially unacceptable vocabulary.

Mist: a mass of tiny drops of water, resembling fog.

Fabric: a cloth made by weaving or knitting threads or fibers.

Rotten: descomposing or decaying, putrid.

Grave: place in the ground in which to bury a dead body.

Corpse: a dead body, usually of a human being.
